
On Saturday, May 18, 2019, PAFC, in collaboration with cohosts, the Philippine Embassy and FIlipino Cultural Association at the University of Maryland, College Park, held its 2nd Annual Pinoy Graduation Showcase DC (P-Grad).
In its second year, P-Grad DC aims to recognize graduating Filipino Americans in Washington D.C, Maryland, and Virginia and connect them to the greater Filipino American community, its organizations, and resources. This year, the graduation opened its applicant pool to include middle schoolers and anyone graduating from a program, such as a certificate program or armed services training.

P-Grad celebrates not only the importance of education, but a the importance of the community in supporting the development and empowerment of rising Filipino American youth leaders. This year, P-Grad garnered the support of over 20 community organizations and 50 committed volunteers, including Keynote Speaker and renowned public speaker, Sonia Aranza.
